Who We're Supporting
Your donations go directly to two incredible local organizations making a real difference in Durham Region.
Durham Children's Aid Foundation – Holiday Hope
Holiday Hope supports local children, youth, and families with gift cards, cozy essentials, and holiday joy. By providing gift cards, the program helps families choose what they need most—giving them dignity and the freedom to make the holidays special in their own way.
Feed the Need in Durham
Feed the Need is Durham Region's emergency food distribution centre, supplying food to many local hunger-relief programs and food banks. Every donation helps keep shelves stocked for neighbours facing food insecurity—especially during the holidays when need is greatest.
What to Bring
We have two donation bins in-store. Here's what each one needs:

✨ Accepted Items
- $25–$50 gift cards (Walmart, Real Canadian Superstore, Shoppers Drug Mart, Amazon, Sport Chek, etc.)
- Brand-new pajamas & winter comfort items (all sizes: infant to adult)
- New, unwrapped toys for all ages
- Holiday wrapping supplies (wrapping paper, gift bags, tissue, bows, tape, tags)

Food & Baby Essentials
✨ Accepted Items
- Non-perishable, shelf-stable food (pasta, rice, canned vegetables, canned fruit, soup, canned meat or fish, peanut butter, etc.)
- Baby items (formula, baby food, diapers, wipes—all unopened)

Visit us during the holiday season. Hand items to staff or place them in the matching bin.
We Deliver Your Donations
Deck Out Gaming will bring everything to Durham Children's Aid Foundation and Feed the Need so it reaches families in time.

The trading card community knows what it means to come together—whether it's for a tournament, a trade night, or helping a friend complete their deck. This holiday season, we're channeling that same energy into something bigger: making sure our neighbours don't go hungry and that local kids wake up to a little holiday magic.

Do items need to be new?
Yes! All donated items (toys, pajamas, wrapping supplies) must be new and unused. For food, items must be unopened and not expired.
Can I get a tax receipt?
If you'd like a charitable tax receipt, speak to our staff in-store and we'll help you with next steps with each organization.
Can I donate money instead?
We're collecting physical items for this drive, but our staff can point you toward each charity's website if you'd prefer to donate cash directly.
Do I need to be a customer to donate?
Not at all! Everyone is welcome to drop off donations—whether you're a regular, a first-timer, or just passing by. Come say hi!
